Although this development was unable to obtain Planning Permission due to the site being designated good agricultural land it was recommended for approval by SIC Planning Department and was universally praised for it’s design quality.

In order to minimise the disruption caused to communities by the motor car, houses were grouped around landscaped gardened courtyards which created safe social zones between houses and allowed larger than normal back gardens with cultivation areas.
